It's time for our If You Give a Child a Book campaign! We invited local kids to talk about their favorite books and why reading is so special to them.

Reading is crucial to a child's development. Research shows children who do not read at grade level by the end of third grade are four times less likely to graduate from high school (Annie E. Casey Foundation). Children in poverty fare worse, being 13 times less likely to graduate.
