Chief Meteorologist Denis Phillips says the drought affecting Florida’s Gulf Coast, especially areas west of I-75, is expected to continue through at least the next couple of weeks.
Inland areas and the East Coast will see more rain, while coastal regions face low rain chances, high heat, and oppressive humidity. El Niño could bring relief in the fall and winter, but summer rainfall along the coast will likely remain limited.
