TAMPA, Fla. — Formation chances dropped Monday morning for an area of low pressure in the central Atlantic, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Last week, formation chances were upped to 40%, but they've now dropped to a 10% chance of formation over the next week.
The area is currently several hundred miles east of the Windward Islands.
Forecasters said environmental conditions are expected to become unfavorable for development.
