First responders from Clearwater Fire and Rescue Department are working two separate incidents off Clearwater Beach, officials said.
A speed boat competing in the offshore boat races flipped, injuring two, shortly after noon Sunday, the Clearwater Police Department said.
In a separate incident, a woman was pulled from the water after having a medical issue about 1 p.m., authorities said. She was swimming near a spectator boat when she suffered a seizure.
The injured boat racers were taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, and the woman who suffered a seizure went to Morton Plant Hospital.
