The St. Petersburg Police Department arrested a man for homicide on Sunday after finding his girlfriend's body near a dumpster on Saturday.

Daniel Coley, 41, was charged with second-degree murder after police officials said he killed his 41-year-old girlfriend Amanda Browning.

Browning's body was found near a dumpster on Saturday in the 3800 block of 15th Ave. North. She had visible stab wounds and cuts, police officials said.

A passerby discovered her body shortly after 8 a.m. and called police. The investigation and evidence led detectives to arrest Coley. The two shared an apartment, officials said. Coley was booked into the Pinellas County Jail.

“You know, it might just be time we take a look if HOAs are really even necessary.
Maybe we should just do away with homeowner associations as a whole.”

South Florida lawmaker Rep. Juan Carlos Porras (R-Miami) says it may be time to do away with homeowners associations altogether, as more Floridians speak out about rising fees, costly lawsuits, and even arrests tied to HOA disputes. He said this week that he is considering filing legislation in the next session that would abolish HOAs statewide.
