Fog is set to blanket parts of Tampa Bay again Friday morning, bringing low visibility and possible dense fog advisories west of I-75.

Conditions will be similar to Thursday, with warm temperatures following the morning fog. Highs are expected to reach the upper 70s to low 80s, continuing a stretch of above-average warmth that is likely to last for the next two weeks. While Friday’s Valentine’s Day forecast calls for sunshine and warm weather, rain chances will rise late Sunday into Monday as a front moves through the area.

Rainfall timing varies across forecast models, with some indicating showers could affect the Daytona 500 on Sunday afternoon. Beyond the weekend, long-range outlooks keep temperatures above 70 degrees with only scattered rain chances. Phillips also noted that as the dry season continues, Tampa Bay could see an increased risk of “super fog” if brushfire smoke and fog coincide in the months ahead.
