Sunday showers likely.
Check the radar often today as we'll be tracking showers and storms moving through the area. The highest rain coverage will be along and west of I-75 before 1pm. The afternoon looks mostly cloudy and more comfortable as morning rain will keep temps in the 80s during the afternoon.
More typical August weather returns on Monday and for much of the week ahead. We'll see highs in the low to mid-90s with a chance of pop-up storms during each afternoon. Coverage may be a little lower on Monday but then should jump up to at least 40% starting on Tuesday.
TROPICS: A strong tropical wave will move off the African coast on Tuesday. It's very likely that this will become our next named storm. Right now the system is forecast to remain north of the Islands and turn away from the U.S.
