ORLANDO, Fla. — A missing child alert for a 3-year-old boy who wandered away from a resort in Orlando has been canceled after the child was found dead.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued the missing child alert after Rakim Akbari, 3, wandered away near the 8800 block of Palm Village Circle in Orlando Thursday morning.

"We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to Rakim's family and loved ones," the FDLE said in a statement.
