TAMPA, Fla. — Detectives are investigating a shooting that left a woman dead in Tampa on Sunday night.

The police department said it happened in the 2900 blocks of North Central Avenue after 10 p.m.

The suspect is being treated for a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.

The investigation is in its early stages but police said the shooting isn't random.
