WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla — The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said a man they believe was involved in a deadly shooting has been captured.

According to the Pasco Sheriff's Office (PSO), the shooting happened at around 7:20 p.m. near Old Pasco Road and Dayflower Boulevard in Wesley Chapel.

The suspect allegedly shot and killed a man and then left on foot before law enforcement arrived, according to PSO.

The sheriff's office hasn't identified the suspect as of late Monday morning but did say there was no threat to the community as the shooting was from a dispute between two known parties.

“You know, it might just be time we take a look if HOAs are really even necessary.
Maybe we should just do away with homeowner associations as a whole.”

South Florida lawmaker Rep. Juan Carlos Porras (R-Miami) says it may be time to do away with homeowners associations altogether, as more Floridians speak out about rising fees, costly lawsuits, and even arrests tied to HOA disputes. He said this week that he is considering filing legislation in the next session that would abolish HOAs statewide.
