BRADENTON, Fla. — The Bradenton Police Department (BPD) said detectives arrested three minors aged 11-14 in connection with Monday's boat fire at the Twin Dolphin Marina.
Police said two separate people called 911 to report the fire at around 1:30 p.m. on July 14. Both callers reported seeing several kids fire something off the Green Bridge moments before the fire, according to the police report.
BPD said detectives obtained CCTV video that appeared to show three juveniles with flare guns shortly before and after the fire started.
The minors were later positively identified and questioned with their parents' cooperation, according to BPD.
The report said the 14-year-old faces firearm-related charges and one charge of arson. The 11- and 12-year-olds are each facing firearm-related charges as well.
This is an ongoing investigation.
