LIST: What schools are open/closed after Hurricane Milton

While many schools are still closed, some districts across the Tampa Bay area will be reopening this week.

Citrus County

All schools will be open Monday, October 14th.

DeSoto County

All schools will be open Monday, Oct. 14.

Hardee County

Schools will be closed Monday, but will reopen to students on Tuesday.

Hernando County

Monday is a Professional Day, and students are not required to be in attendance.

Highlands County

All schools will be open Monday, Oct. 14.

Hillsborough County

All schools will be open again on Thursday, October 17

Manatee County

Monday, Oct. 14, is a previously scheduled Record Day for staff, and there will be no school for students. The district noted it hopes to reopen to students on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Parents should be updated by 5 p.m. on Monday on the status for Tuesday.

Pasco County

All schools will be closed on Monday, Oct. 14, and Tuesday, Oct. 15. Students will return on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Pinellas County

All schools will be closed on Monday, Oct. 14, and Tuesday, Oct. 15. The district said students will return on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Polk County

Schools will remain closed on Monday, Oct. 14, and Tuesday, Oct. 15. Campuses are expected to reopen on Wednesday.

Sarasota County

All schools will remain closed on Monday, Oct. 14, and Tuesday, Oct. 15. The district will resume regular school hours on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Colleges and Universities

• Saint Leo University will hold classes online Monday, Oct. 14 through Friday, Oct. 18, for the University Campus, the Tampa Education Center, and for Adult Education locations.
• Hillsborough Community College has extended its closure through Tuesday, Oct. 15.
