HOLIDAY, Fla — A juvenile shot a man on Saturday during an argument in Holiday, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies were called to the area of Weston Oaks Drive around 11:40 p.m. Saturday. The preliminary investigation found an argument between the juvenile and the men at the location escalated to a shooting.

Both the victim and the alleged shooter were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Their conditions have not been released.

The Sheriff's Office said the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no public safety threat.

“You know, it might just be time we take a look if HOAs are really even necessary.
Maybe we should just do away with homeowner associations as a whole.”

South Florida lawmaker Rep. Juan Carlos Porras (R-Miami) says it may be time to do away with homeowners associations altogether, as more Floridians speak out about rising fees, costly lawsuits, and even arrests tied to HOA disputes. He said this week that he is considering filing legislation in the next session that would abolish HOAs statewide.
