TAMPA, Fla. — One person was killed in a boating incident in Tampa Bay near the Courtney Campbell Causeway on Saturday.
The accident happened just before 6 p.m. on Saturday.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), received a report of a single vessel boating incident in Tampa Bay near the Courtney Campbell Causeway in Hillsborough County.
The FWC, Tampa Police Department, and Tampa Fire Rescue all responded to the scene.
One individual was transported to an area hospital and was pronounced dead as a result of the incident, according to an FWC report.
This is an active investigation and updates will be provided when available.
The FWC will be the lead agency for the investigation
