ST. PETERSBURG, Fla — The St. Petersburg Police Department (SPPD) has identified the victim who was killed in a stabbing incident on Friday as 41-year-old Dustin Hedenberg.
At about 6 p.m., officers responded to the stabbing at Ahi Tuna, 364 1 Avenue North.
Hedenberg was taken to Bayfront Hospital, where he died.

From their investigation, detectives learned that Hedenberg erratically punched a person at the Scientology Center, 3361st Avenue North, before the stabbing.
Hedenberg then went to Ahi Sushi and fought with the business owner, 51-year-old Fayun Zhang. Hedenberg struck Zhang, knocked him down, and began punching him, according to police officials.
Zhang then grabbed a screwdriver and stabbed Hedenberg, the SPPD report stated. Zhang has not been charged at this time.
Detectives will forward the case to the State Attorney's Office to see if charges are warranted. Police said a man was stabbed during an altercation. He was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries.
