POLK COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) said it continues to look for leads into the 2017 disappearance of a Lakeland Air Force veteran.
Brian Klecha, 35, was last seen on Dec. 27, 2017 at the MidFlorida Credit Union in Auburndale, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
"He has ties to Orange, Polk and Hillsborough counties and was an employee of the Disney Corporation," the FDLE said in a release. "Mr. Klecha did not leave or go missing on his own and (we) believe he may have been the victim of domestic or drug abuse."
Klecha's Jeep was found abandoned on State Road 618 in Tampa at the Morgan Street exit on Feb. 11, 2018. Investigators said they believe the Jeep had been involved in a car accident a few days earlier.
“Eight years have passed and we are just as committed as ever to finding out the truth of what happened,” said FDLE Tampa Special Agent in Charge Mark Brutnell.
Klecha is a white male who is 6 feet tall, weighs 180 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes.
If you have information about the disappearance of Brian Edward Klecha, please call Special Agent Rich Rodriguez at (813) 878-7347.
