HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. — All lanes are back open on I-75 after debris from a multi-vehicle crash, which initially shut down northbound lanes in Hernando County.

The incident happened shortly after 3 a.m. on May 5, when a tractor-trailer, driven by a 45-year-old Jacksonville woman, heading northbound on I-75 in the center lane, became disabled and stopped near milepost 305, per FHP.

Another tractor-trailer, driven by a 51-year-old Minnesota man, was heading northbound on I-75 in the same lane and unable to avoid a collision in time, striking the rear of the other vehicle.

The Minnesota man was uninjured, but the Jacksonville woman was taken to an area hospital after suffering minor injuries, according to FHP.

The northbound lanes of the interstate reopened at 8:30 a.m., and the roadway was fully reopened around noon.
