HIGHLANDS COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies said a mother who left her home with her daughter on March 15 was found safe.

The Highlands County Sheriff's Office said Ashley Carr, 33, left her home in Sebring with her 2-year-old daughter Dawn on Saturday.

They were last seen around 11:30 p.m. at a Wendy's in Lake Placid but have since been found safe.

There is no other information about the case at this time.

“You know, it might just be time we take a look if HOAs are really even necessary.
Maybe we should just do away with homeowner associations as a whole.”

South Florida lawmaker Rep. Juan Carlos Porras (R-Miami) says it may be time to do away with homeowners associations altogether, as more Floridians speak out about rising fees, costly lawsuits, and even arrests tied to HOA disputes. He said this week that he is considering filing legislation in the next session that would abolish HOAs statewide.
