TAMPA, Fla — The Courtney Campbell Causeway has reopened after multiple traffic crashes involving a flipped vehicle on the eastbound lanes Sunday night.

The Tampa Police Department investigated the incident at 7:48 p.m. near Rocky Point Drive. The lanes reopened around 4:50 a.m. on Monday.

Officials initially asked drivers to use alternate routes and avoid the area while they investigated.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Police said all parties remained on scene and there were no life-threatening injuries.

“You know, it might just be time we take a look if HOAs are really even necessary.
Maybe we should just do away with homeowner associations as a whole.”

South Florida lawmaker Rep. Juan Carlos Porras (R-Miami) says it may be time to do away with homeowners associations altogether, as more Floridians speak out about rising fees, costly lawsuits, and even arrests tied to HOA disputes. He said this week that he is considering filing legislation in the next session that would abolish HOAs statewide.
