TAMPA, Fla. — Two people died after a shooting early Friday morning at a home in Tampa, according to the Tampa Police Department (TPD).
Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3500 block of North 15th Street and found an adult woman in her mid-20s and an adult man in his mid-50s suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a news release.
Police said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man later died from his injuries.
TPD said the two knew each other, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Three children were also found inside the home during the response. Police said the minors were unharmed and have since been reunited with family members.
The investigation remains active.
