PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — The St. Petersburg Police Department (SPPD) said it is investigating a car crash where one victim was found shot inside a vehicle.
SPPD said officers responded to a call of a person shot at 17 Ave S and 49 St S.
Officers located a crashed vehicle and found a 19-year-old man inside who had been shot. The victim's 18-year-old brother was also in the car, according to the report.
Both men were hospitalized; the 19-year-old is in critical condition and the 18-year-old is in stable condition, SPPD said.
SSPD confirmed a person was brought in for questioning.
The investigation is ongoing.
“You know, it might just be time we take a look if HOAs are really even necessary.
Maybe we should just do away with homeowner associations as a whole.”
South Florida lawmaker Rep. Juan Carlos Porras (R-Miami) says it may be time to do away with homeowners associations altogether, as more Floridians speak out about rising fees, costly lawsuits, and even arrests tied to HOA disputes. He said this week that he is considering filing legislation in the next session that would abolish HOAs statewide.
